About Us

The Translating Ukraine Summer Institute is guided by a collaborative governance model that brings together partner institutions while ensuring efficient day-to-day operations.

Alliance Council
The Translating Ukraine Alliance Council serves as the initiative's strategic governing body. Composed of representatives from each co-organizing institution, the Council provides overall direction, approves key priorities, and ensures alignment among partners. It meets several times a year to review progress, set long-term goals, and endorse major decisions related to programming, partnerships, and resources.

Executive Board
The Executive Board translates the Council’s strategic direction into an actionable operating plan. It oversees implementation at a high level and is empowered to make timely decisions within the framework established by the Council, ensuring responsiveness and continuity between Council meetings.

Director
The Director leads the Institute’s day-to-day operations and program delivery. This role is responsible for implementing the strategic plan, coordinating across partners, managing activities and timelines, and reporting on progress. The Director ensures that the initiative's mission and standards are consistently upheld in practice.

Program Coordinator
The Program Coordinator supports the Director in the day-to-day running of the initiative's programs. This includes logistical coordination, communication with participants and partners, and assisting with program delivery and administration.

Together, these roles ensure a balance between shared strategic leadership and effective operational management, allowing the Institute to grow while remaining responsive and collaborative.
