Sophie Shields
Translator, PhD student in Comparative Literature at the University of Toronto
Sophie Shields is a Ukrainian-Canadian PhD student in Comparative Literature at the University of Toronto, with an MA from Dartmouth College focused on displaced Ukrainian writers. She is currently working on translations of interviews with Ukrainian dissidents as a research assistant for the Dissident Legacies project and is especially interested in translating contemporary refugee writing.
